Refund Policy

Service & Refund Policy

1. Booking & Financial Terms: Reservation Deposit: A 50 % non-refundable deposit is required to secure the event date. This deposit represents the reservation of our culinary team and the loss of opportunity to book other clients. Final Payment: The remaining balance is due in full [3] days before the event. HandB Enterprise Catering reserves the right to cancel services if the balance is not paid by this deadline. Final Guarantee: A final guest count is required [10] business days before the event. This count represents a minimum billing guarantee and cannot be reduced after the deadline.

2. Cancellation & Refund Schedule. As a custom service provider, our costs are incurred well in advance of your event.30+ Days Notice: Full refund of payments made, less the non-refundable deposit.

15–29 Days Notice: 50% refund of the total contract value (excluding deposit).

 

14 Days or Less: No refunds will be issued. At this stage, food procurement, labor scheduling, and preparation are finalized.

3. Force Majeure & Weather HandB Enterprise Catering shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, hurricanes, government-mandated closures, or state-of-emergency orders. In such cases, all payments (including deposits) will be issued as a Service Credit toward a future event within 12 months.

 

4. Food Safety & Liability Allergies: Client is responsible for notifying HandB Enterprise Catering of any known food allergies. While we take every precaution, we operate in a facility that processes nuts, gluten, and dairy. Leftovers: In compliance with South Carolina DHEC food safety regulations, HandB Enterprise Catering is not liable for any illness or injury resulting from the consumption of food items removed from the event site by the Client or guests, or food consumed after the safe holding time of 2 hours.

 

5. Limitation of Liability. HandB Enterprise Catering’s maximum liability for any claim arising out of this agreement shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by the Client for the services provided.

 

6. Governing Law: This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina.

Any disputes arising shall be settled in the jurisdiction of Charleston, Dorchester, or Berkeley County.
